The only night of its kind on the Guerrero coast.

Ten Guests. One Dark Beach. Four Thousand Years of Sky.

Dark Sky Expedition & Ancestral Mezcal Spirits

On a dark beach at Barra de Potosí, the night sky looks the way it has looked for more than four thousand years.

The first peoples of this coast read it. The Cuitlatec, who held this shore for fifteen centuries, read it. The Mexica who later claimed this coast read it. For all of them the sky was not scenery. It was the calendar and the clock, the signal to plant, the promise of rain, the road home for canoes on a black sea.

They read the stars because their lives depended on it. You get to observe the same star system simply because it is beautiful: lying back on a dark beach, a sacred pour in your hand, while an astronomer decodes what you are seeing.

Ten guests. Red lights. Only You and the Stars.

About Your Sendero

ITINERARY

6:30 PM - Departure & En-Route Briefing: Depart from designated locations in Ixtapa and Zihuatanejo (Ixtapa first, then La Ropa; last pick-up 7:00 PM). A scenic drive south to Barra de Potosi as the light leaves the sky. En-route briefing.

7:45 PM - Arrival & Settling In: Arrive at the beach at Barra de Potosi. Red lights only from here: eyes adapt while you settle onto woven mats and blankets, a first pour in hand, and the beach goes quiet.

8:00 PM - The Dark Sky Session: An extended guided stargazing session: the winter band of the Milky Way overhead, Saturn the evening anchor, the Pleiades at their best, the Andromeda Galaxy, and Orion rising as the night deepens, with the ancestral lore of the peoples who planned their lives by this sky woven through it.

9:15 PM - Sacred Mezcal Tasting & Closing Circle: A guided tasting of sacred mezcal with artisanal inspired small bites: the agave, the maestro mezcalero, and drinking with intention and respect. A last look up, and a closing conversation about why dark places must be protected.

10:00 PM - Return Transfer: Depart Barra de Potosi in private transport for arrival back in Ixtapa and Zihuatanejo by approximately 10:45 PM.
