Waterfall Sound Ceremony

A small ceremony led by a local medicine woman at the edge of a waterfall, on private land. You walk into deep forest, forest bathing on the trail in. Cooler air, your mat at the waterfall pool's edge, voice, sound bowls and instruments wash over oyu.

Leaving you in grounding and sounds the medicine woman leads with her voice before inviting you to add your own voice. You are not an audience, you are a participant.

For some travellers, you will find you leave changed by the ceremony itself. A deeper sense of stillness, achieved through sound, voice, and integration. And an enriched understanding of traditional cultural practices as a traveller in deep forest, with a medicine woman.

A personal charcuterie box offers local small bites. You close by sharing in conversation with the medicine woman and fellow travellers. Learning from each other, through stories of ancestral medicine, and through this experience and your own integration practices. What you take from that wider view is up to you.

Hear it from Sara, Your Medicine Woman

Before you arrive, meet Sara in her own words. In these short videos she shares what the Sacred Waterfall & Ancestral Sound Ceremony is, who it is for, and what to expect. Nature realigns us all on its own, she says. This experience gives you the time, the place, and the guidance to let it happen: a private journey, small groups only, on lands the Bravo family has stewarded for generations.

Hear it from Nito, the land owner.

These special lands are lucky to have Nito as a guardian. He loves this land and loves to share it with people. Nito Bravo, of the founding Bravo family of Mesas de Bravo, explains why tourism is what will help keep the land where the waterfall is located, drenched in nature, as clean and protected with pure water, forever.

YOUR IMPACT

Some places you visit. This one, you join.

The Bravos, a founding family of Zihuatanejo and area, have protected these lands and waters for generations, long before the first guest arrived.

Today, Sendero guests stand inside that story. A significant portion of every booking funds fire barriers to guard the forest, and micro-loans that help local families establish tourism ventures of their own, unlocking economic resilience across the community.

Your visit keeps working long after you have gone home. The fire lines hold. A new family's venture opens its doors. The land stays natural with clean water, for the generations who will steward it next.

This is not charity. It is a place in a chain of care that began before you arrived and will continue long after you leave.

This is not tourism. This is making a difference.

Come for the waterfall. Leave as part of the reason it endures.
